In 2007, Sam Zell purchased the Tribune Company which gave him two of the nation's most influential newspapers: the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.
Sam is known for taking big risks and for seeking opportunity where others fear to tread. Even so, if Sam had met Ross Dawson a year or two ago, he may have had second thoughts about his media purchase.

Many of us are more or less in the same boat as the newspaper business. We don't need to see the rock to know it's headed our way.
